For the past 2,5 years Krinova Incubator and Science Park and its partners, Czarna Dąbrówka, a small municipality in Northern Poland, Rietavas Business and Information Centre from Lithuania and the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk have been working together in the project South Baltic Food Innovation Culture Actors, SB FICA, a cooperation and capacity building project within the South Baltic Programme. The common denominators in the project have been food and culture.
The common method was Swedish FIKA – a coffee break, but at the same time an informal way of connecting people, was both a theme and a method to gather partners around common issues.
The common values, the GÖS, Swedish for Zander but also an acronym for Joy, Openness and Cooperation, in Swedish Glädje, Öppenhet och Samarbete were implemented as the basis for interaction during the project.
The tools for learning and innovating was participating in events organized by the partners and associated partners. Recognizing similarities in common use of raw materials and traditions but also in what differs in culture and history and its impact on the interpretations of raw materials.
Forming new understanding and relations and building platforms for collaboration with Food as a common denominator and connecting around inventing and shaping the traditions a of tomorrow was the result.
