TÖS – Growth in Eastern Skåne
The TÖS project – Growth in Eastern Skåne – offers innovation and growth support to SMEs. The following municipalities make up Eastern Skåne: Bromölla, Hässleholm, Höör, Sjöbo, Kristianstad, Osby, Östra Göinge, Skurup, Ystad, Simrishamn, Tomelilla and Hörby. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and aims to build bridges, develop expertise, and make contacts that lead to a favourable climate for development and growth.
The focus of the project is Eastern Skåne’s growth potential and long-term development
The project focuses on the needs and challenges of SMEs in order to help them grow. For participating companies, TÖS is an opportunity to get help and inspiration to work actively with innovation and growth work in collaboration with established actors and consultants. The companies making up the project get access to tailor-made development support, innovation support, skills development, and seminars and digital training.
The project is designed based on what the companies themselves believe in and want. The background is a survey from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), where companies were asked about their future and what they need help with in order to grow. For participating companies, the project kicks off in an analysis phase focusing on the current situation, needs and challenges. Based on this, we work forward together.
Tillväxtverkets major survey showed that companies that cooperate with other companies also develop new products and services to a greater extent. The same survey also showed that groups with diversity in terms of age, gender and cultural background are more successful in developing ideas and overcoming challenges. This is why we attach great importance to offering physical meetings. During the course of the project, there are six organised seminars/meeting places with different themes, all led by Johan Wester. On these occasions, we will work together to build networks, share experiences with each other, and learn new things from inspiring presentations on the stage.

TÖS is also online. Not everyone can make it to the seminars or be involved in the development work. But, we think it is important for everyone to feel involved. That is why we have also built a course portal for e-learning. We call this TÖSonline. Some topics covered via the course portal include: innovation, gender equality and diversity.
TÖS is a labour market project that runs between 2017 and 2020. The project is owned by Kristianstad municipality and is run by Krinova Incubator & Science Park, Skåne Nordost and Ystad Municipality in collaboration with the 12 municipalities in Eastern Skåne. TÖS is funded by the European Union/European Social Fund, Region Skåne as well as the Swedish savings bank foundations 1826 and Färs & Frosta, owner of Sparbanken Skåne.
