PRIMÄR – Challenge-driven innovation in primary producer-related SMEs

While the food industry is facing major challenges, there is an untapped potential for green and digital innovation with primary production as a market.

The PRIMÄR project aims to increase collaboration between different actors in the value chain from farm to fork, in order to reduce the gap between processing companies and primary production and thus accelerate a socially important transition towards a more climate-neutral food system.

The PRIMÄR project will contribute to increasing knowledge about the opportunities that exist for new business ideas, innovations and new markets by working with challenge-driven innovation. The project will also create meeting points and collaborations across sectors and geographical boundaries, and will help strengthen the entire circular value chain in the food industry and the commercial success of new green and sustainable products, services and processes.

Through a series of inspirational lectures with a knowledge boost to a broad target group, direct business support to selected companies with access to business development, coaching, and study visits for collaboration across regional borders and internationally, Krinova and its partners will help to increase the innovative power of primary producer-centred SMEs.
