Better Energy Efficiency by Shortening the Food Chain
Each link in the food chain contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, which is problematic. Krinova has therefore launched a prestudy focused on investigating companies and players within the food industry who have the potential to take greater ownership of the value chain, i.e. shorten the food chain.
The industry, which is strong and important in Skåne and is an emerging industry in Blekinge, has good conditions for working with more locally-produced production. In the prestudy, good companies in the region will be identified, classified and visualised based on various development aspects, such as environmental load, means of distribution and degree of innovation. A further hope is to highlight and classify all food sector companies that are currently not visible in existing systems.
