The Most Important International Food Conference of the Year – Spot on Food

On 3 October 2024, Kristianstad will become the hub for food innovation and sustainability as Krinova hosts the international conference Spot on Food. This year’s theme is “Resilient Food Systems,” a topic more crucial than ever before. The theme will be explored through three key perspectives: entrepreneurship, diversity, and preparedness.   

This is an opportunity for everyone—entrepreneurs, decision-makers, researchers, journalists—anyone with an interest in food and sustainability, to network and gain deeper insights into today’s challenges and solutions.  

Some of the highlights of the day:    

Preparedness: Thor Sigfusson and Matthieu Vincent will share their expertise on how they’ve managed crises and strengthened resilience within the food system.  

We are especially proud to welcome representatives from Ukraine, Andrii Ocheretnyi, Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia, and Maksym Martianov, Director of Economy and Investments in Vinnytsia. They will share their experiences on how the war has impacted the local food system and present strategies for building a resilient future.  

Entrepreneurship: Sara Wimmercranz and Avit Bhowmik, two leading voices in innovation, will inspire participants with their visions and experiences.  

Diversity: Märta Jansdotter Aguirre, Björn Schröder, and Tobias Degsell will highlight the importance of diversity in the food industry and its role in creating sustainable systems.  

The conference will also offer opportunities to meet bold and innovative entrepreneurs in thought-provoking panel discussions, engage in focused networking through AI-powered matchmaking, and discuss future challenges with leading researchers and experts during the lunch break.
