Future meals within planetary boundaries – 9 out of 10 – Innovation platform

The project aims to establish an innovation platform for the meals of the future within planetary boundaries, with the mission that 9 out of 10 meals consumed in Sweden by 2040 are within the planetary boundaries.

To achieve this mission, the platform will drive change through two workflows:

1. Increased availability of nutritious and sustainably produced food.

2. Increased demand (market creation) for nutritious and sustainably produced food.

The platform will contribute to and support experimentation, innovation, and knowledge development by initiating prototypes that demonstrate new forms of collaboration ways and challenge current mindsets and systems to achieve behavioural change towards the mission.

In the long term, the platform aims is to serve as a central third-party actor to engage and coordinate an ecosystem of relevant actors by connecting and creating synergies between ongoing projects to accelerate the transition in line with the mission.

The project team, RISE, Krinova, and DarkMatterLabs, has expertise in food system challenges from farm to fork, as well as in system transition and mission-oriented work and extensive networks across research, academia, business, civil society and the public sector at both national and international levels.
