Food Procurement 80/20
This project aims to further develop and spread the (80/20) procurement model developed jointly by Hässleholm Municipality and Kristianstad Municipality. The model was developed to enable small, local companies to submit tenders for municipal food procurements.
Krinova will work to further develop and spread the model. Krinova will work to establish contacts between companies, B2B, and provide development support in order to form functional models for collaboration.
For the individual food producer, it is a major investment to take part in a tender process, where requirements and outcome are major question marks in relation to potential profit. The current procurement model, with collaboration between local producers, reduces the risks and makes it more interesting for local producers to participate in procurement. When implemented, the procurement model will also address the municipalities’ challenge of gaining access to locally produced raw materials.
